“In any given moment, we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”

— Abraham Maslow

I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Ontario. During Residency at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, I received additional training in the Anxiety Treatment & Research Centre, The Mood Disorders Service, and the Eating Disorders Clinic.

In 2015, I became a Certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT) with the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT). As a passionate member of the CBT community, I am also a CBT Clinical Consultant, a member of the CBT Certification Committee, and a Founding Member of the CACBT.

To build on my CBT training, I have completed intensive training in the delivery of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) through Behaviour Tech. I find it very effective to weave together my knowledge and skills from CBT, DBT and mindfulness to provide a comprehensive list of tools and strategies for my clients.

I enjoy learning and work hard to stay on top of the latest in clinical research and practice. I regularly attend professional conferences and workshops, and I meet with clinical colleagues on a regular basis. I am a registered Clinical Psychologist in good standing with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and I am a member of the Ontario Psychological Association.

As a registered Clinical Psychologist and certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapist (CBT), I have significant experience helping adults and teens manage a wide variety of concerns. Through trust, respect, and collaboration, I help each client work toward their goals by teaching evidence-based strategies.

In addition to cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), I incorporate strategies and skills from other therapeutic approaches including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness. I have worked with adults and teens in a private practice setting since 2007 and have provided virtual services since 2017.
