I provide comprehensive psychological assessments, clarify diagnoses, and create a plan for individual therapy based on each client’s goals.  

Services

The treatment strategies I use are evidence-based and include a combination of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based strategies.

I work together with clients to create treatment goals and we monitor progress towards these goals throughout our work together. I help clients with a wide range of concerns, with the most common listed below: 

  • Low mood, depression, and grief

  • Anxiety, stress and worry: 

    • Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

    • Social Anxiety Disorder

    • Panic attacks

    • Agoraphobia

    • Specific phobias (e.g. fear of dogs, spiders, needles/medical procedures, heights, flying, storms, etc.,)

    • Test/exam anxiety, public speaking

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Concerns around eating, weight, and body image

  • Trauma, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Suicidal and self-harming behaviours

  • Coping with stress, perfectionism, and change

  • Lifestyle concerns and self-care

  • Relationship concerns and self-esteem

  • Assertiveness, and communication skills

  • Anger and irritability

Practice
Information

  • My services are catered to adults and adolescents from age 16 to 65.

  • Psychological services through private practices are not covered by OHIP. Fees are charged by the hour and are in line with the recommendations set out by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA). Payment is due at the end of each session and official receipts are provided. Fees may be covered through extended health benefits through your employer or private health insurance.

  • Your privacy and confidentiality are paramount. The information you share during appointments is kept strictly confidential and will only be disclosed to another person with your verbal or written consent - except when legally required. These situations include the following: 

    Significant and imminent harm to yourself or to others

    Abuse or neglect of a child

    Abuse or neglect of an individual in a retirement home or in long term care

    Sexual abuse or harassment by a regulated healthcare professional

    When there is a court order to release records

    For audits done by the College of Psychologists of Ontario for quality assurance purposes.

    Detailed information regarding your privacy and confidentiality will be shared during your first appointment.

  • Your appointments are booked especially for you. While sessions sometimes need to be changed or cancelled, sessions cancelled with less than 24-hour’s notice will be charged the full fee for service.
